Text and Translation

Welcome to the Bible Translations Page.

***This is a work in progress--resources will continue to be added***

The Rosetta Stone stands as a monument to the necessity and inestimable value of translation (this photo is my own pic taken at the British museum in 2001 during a study tour).  Whether it be opening the door to a hidden language or making what is unreadable clear to an audience translation is essential.  Translating the Bible into the language of the people is a necessity for both salvation (Rom 10:17) and progressive sanctification (Jn 17:17).  Sadly this issue has been used to cause unnecessary division and friction within the church.  This page serves as a resource for addressing the Bible translation issue.  Below are articles I have written addressing this issue.  Following this section is a compiled listing of resources to help Christians honesty and accurately think through these issues.  These are here to help Christians grow and be encouraged with the historic orthodox position on this translation issue.

My own posts related to this issue of orthodoxy and orthopraxy:
